All the equipment used by Pulse Roadshow is owned by us. We rarely hire in equipment unless it is for your specific needs i.e. LED dancefloors or outdoor laser shows etc. We can arrange this for you if you wish or we can provide information on how you can book this yourselves.

Owning our own equipment means we know the ins and outs of how the equipment works. If something should go wrong we simply know where to look straight away avoiding a long delay in the entertainment. Or we just make a few alterations and run on our back up equipment which we take to every event.

Pulse Roadshow prides itself on offering one of the best sound systems available. We have invested in the latest offering from world renowned audio makers JBL.

Since 1995 we have used JBL so when they brought out their new range we knew something special was being released so we invested into it!

The new VRX range is their flagship when it comes to portable PA. Offering more than the conventional speaker you will see at many events like weddings and celebrations.

The VRX932LA has an advantage over other speakers where it's sound output is designed to be 'Point & Shoot', giving a 15 degree vertical pattern and 100 degree horizontal, meaning the sound is more controlled than conventional speakers which reduces feedback on the microphones and also the sound bounces less on hard hall walls! So you will get a better sounding system! Most speakers offer a 90x45 degree dispersion so the sound isn't as controlled like the VRX932LA's.

All this can mean we can point the speakers where you want the sound i.e. on the dancefloor and not at the back of the room where your friends and relatives are chatting! Please click here to find out more about the VRX932LA speakers. JBL VRX932LA

The VRX speakers are amplified using the new Crown XTi series of amplifiers. Each speaker has it's own amp so if one should fail we can simply link the 2 speakers to run off one amp without a great loss of power. Crown XTi2000 The amplifiers are also controlled by a computer so if we need to change any settings to suit the venue it is easily done by a click of the mouse!

If you are wanting a big 'looking' sound system we also use other JBL speakers. These are generally available for hire but can be used at any event if you want that 'look'!

On our Small (discreet) show we use speakers by another world renowned manufacturer Bose. These speakers are small but certainly packs a punch! Along with the Bose we use one JBL bass speaker to provide the lower frequencies. In all, this is a very nice system but only suitable for a small room.

All our music and music videos are stored on a dedicated computer which makes it quick and easy to find requested tracks on the night. None of our music is ripped illegally from download sites so you can guarantee the quality of the music will be no change from playing a cd. We do still play CD's using our Denon twin cd decks! The mixer we use is a Pioneer DJM3000 which are used in many top nightclubs.

Our lighting has proven to be a massive hit no matter what size package you choose! We have had so many comments at the end of the night about how we use and control the effects.

Again we have not cut corners and bought the lighting from Argos or Maplins. So you can guarantee something very special. We use lighting from the top makes like Robe and Martin. We also use the new LED lighting which can flood a venue with one of thousands of colours so if you want the lighting to match your decorations this can be done by our dedicated lighting control computer.

 

The computer is actually controlled by a touchscreen which makes it quick and easy to change the lighting to suit the music as well! All our Robe and Martin lights use discharge lamps to produce pure whites and stunning colours. They don't go 'pop' during the event like conventional lights leaving your guests in the dark!

 

 

 

 

We use a type of lighting called moving heads, these are mesmorising to watch let alone the effects they produce!The Robe Colorspot 250 AT can be seen on the left producing one of the many patterns and colours it has.

 

 

 

 

With the Medium & Large show we use 2 Martin 812 scanners to add a fill in effect when the moving heads are performing their shows! (shown in white on the left) The Scanners are the main lighting effect on the small show.

 

 

 

 

 

LED lighting in use at a corporate event flood washing the stage in pink and purple. The LED lights we use have 153 lights in a single unit, 51 red, 51 green and 51 blue. With our controller we can adjust the brightness of each of the colours to produce thousands of different colours. We can pretty much produce any colour imaginable!

 

 

 

 

Lasers! They can add the WOW factor on it's own! Our green lasers are controlled by the computer to produce beams or walls across the venue. We don't use high powered outdoor lasers but can arrange this for you if you wish.

 

 

 

 

You will find our 8 Martin Roboscan 812's being used in our Ultimate Events Package. They are pretty much tried and trusted in every club worldwide and are absolutely amazing when used with it's own dedicated controller.

 

 

We do have Strobes but due to some people suffering epilepsy we rarely use them.

Our projection can be added to any of the packages listed. If you want to add visuals, photos, images, logos or video to your event then take a look at the Video & Photo Projection page.

The screens we use to project on are stretched fabric. The screen is clipped onto the top of our lighting truss stretched to produce a nice surface for the images to be displayed.

The Projection requires at least 3 metres of room from the front of the screen to the wall. If space is tight we can always use 1 or 2 large monitor screens which are 42" Diameter, similar to a large screen TV.
